Harry Potter Trivia at Tin Roof

Think your HP knowledge can outshine the best of the Potterverse? Put all those hours of reading and watching to the test on September 26, when Tin Roof hosts a Harry Potter trivia night.

The Power Plant Live! bar will kick off its three-hour trivia contest at 7 p.m. (but the restaurant and bar are open earlier, of course). Trivia categories are TBD, but it might make sense to brush up on some spells, plants and potions, and a little Defense Against the Dark Arts before heading to the venue.

There are $300 in prizes – that could buy a lot of butterbeer! – and attendees of all ages are welcome.

Potter Party at Baltimore Soundstage

On Friday, October 5, Baltimore Soundstage will transform into Hogwarts as Transcendent Events takes over the space for a full-blown Potter Party.

The event includes everything from a Sorting Hat ceremony (who’s a Gryffindor?!) to Riddikulus Karaoke, an Azkaban “wanted poster” photo booth and a costume contest. Sip cocktails from the Leaky Cauldron’s own drinks menu, test your knowledge participating in a Wizarding World Game Show and hang out with some of the biggest Potter enthusiasts around.

The party is open to guests 18 and older. General admission tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door; VIP tickets, including the ability to skip the line, a party t-shirt and two shot glasses (plus event entry) are $30. VIP ticket sales end September 24.

Doors open at 7 p.m. For more information, text NERDPARTIES to 77948.

Where to Park for Downtown Baltimore Concerts

Whether you’ll be cruising into town on your Nimbus 3000, borrowing Mr. Weasley’s flying car or simply driving your Muggle-mobile to these events, you’ll need a place to park.

Located at 55 Market Place, in downtown Baltimore, is an ideal spot to park your broom before heading off on your Harry Potter adventures. The garage is a very short walk to both Tin Roof and Soundstage, plus it is close to many restaurants and bars that might make fun of additional stops during your evening.

Harbor Park is easily accessible from I-83 and other routes in and out of the city, so it’s easy to get to no matter where you’re starting your trip. It is safe, well-lit and staffed every day, around the clock, with friendly and knowledgeable employees who are always happy to answer questions and offer directions.
